Come celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with us as we present patriotic works by American composers, featuring “The Song of Democracy” by Howard Hanson (on a poem of Walt Whitman), “The Promise of Living” by Aaron Copland, and the final movement of Michael Daugherty’s “Mount Rushmore” (dedicated to Abraham Lincoln).

A beloved Raleigh holiday tradition! Come join the Master Chorale’s 170-voice Symphonic Choir, 80-voice Youth Choir, and Chamber Choir to sing festive music of the season. You will hear familiar carols alongside newer settings that are destined to become favorites. The combined 250+ choir will be joined by brass ensemble, percussion, piano, and organ for a joyful holiday experience that the whole family will adore.

Come enjoy classic love songs from the wonderful world of Disney! A 24-voice chamber choir will be joined by piano, bass, and drums to perform songs that will make you want to wish upon a star. Highlights include music from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Toy Story, and more.

Don’t miss this jubilant Gloria setting by Raleigh composer Michael J. Glasgow, fresh off his second successful Carnegie Hall performance of this exciting choral orchestral work. Also on the program will be three short works by Gabriel Faure (Psalm 136, Pavane, & Cantique) as well as Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, featuring pianist Suzanne Polak and our Youth Choir.

To Truly Love

The Master Chorale Youth Choir presents an uplifting and moving evening of music that speaks to the resilience, vulnerability, and courage it takes to care for ourselves and others. Centered around the performance of To Truly Love, a new multi-movement work by North Carolina composer Sherry Blevins and Raphael Fusco, the program weaves together pieces that shine a light on mental health awareness and the transformative power of singing.
