Requiems of Faure and Durufle

Cathedrale Notre Dame de Paris

Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3pm

Hayes Barton Baptist Church, 1800 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh

Be captivated by the melodic beauty, lyricism, and rich harmonic expression of these two beloved French masterworks. The Chorale will be accompanied by orchestra and Raleigh organist Kevin Kerstetter at the Moller Pipe Organ. Gabriel Fauré’s romantic-era Requiem is serene and comforting while Maurice Duruflé’s impressionistic Requiem includes that era’s delicate yet sensuous harmonies.

Fauré soloists: Megan Crosson, Soprano and David Mellnik, Bass.
